It was a huge milestone of scientific and technological advancement. (Plus, at the time, politically significant). Humanity went to space! We set foot on a celestial body that was not earth for the first time in human history! That’s a big deal! I’ve never thought about it before but now that I have, it’s ridiculous to me that that’s not part of our everyday lives and the public consciousness anymore. Why don’t we have a public holiday and a family barbecue about it. Why have I never seen the original broadcast of the moon landing? It should be all over the news every year!
It’s July 20th. That’s the day of the moon landing. Next year is going to be the 54th anniversary. I’m ordering astronaut shaped cookie cutters on Etsy and I’m going to have a goddamn potluck. You’re all invited.
announcing my newest project: the crit the rich campaign
A collection of Dungeons & Dragons sixth-level player character sheets for the Leverage crew, one per chapter, which includes portraits (8.5x11"), detailed backstories, homebrew magical items (untested, added mostly for flavor), and recommendations for progression up to twentieth-level. Geared towards a heist-style campaign with a high degree of tactical roleplaying and minimal fighting. [Warning: large images; suggested to view chapter by chapter.]
To start off, let me introduce you to Alec Hardison (he/him), an odonati (aasamir reskin based on dragonflies) wizard with some artificer training and a frog familiar named Lucille.
you tried to read the words as prose but noticed how its scansion goes and now you can’t unhear the tune, so screw ya recall the phrase you love the most then once again reblog this post and tag your fav’rite line of hallelujah
You pick a phrase, you pick a rhyme, repeat the sound another time, Five iambs, then an extra beat will do ya. Another rhyme, a rising note - congratulations, you just wrote Another goddamn verse to Hallelujah.
Hey. Why isn’t the moon landing a national holiday in the US. Isn’t that fucked up? Does anyone else think that’s absurd?
